Friday Five - Fictional Flirtations

Hello, all. Sorry for my multi-week absence.

So, Melissa wonders about our top 5 Fictional Crushes.

1. Just about any woman created by Robert Heinlein. I pretty much love them all. Wyoming Knott, Gwen Stone, Hazel Stone, Deedee, Friday, Maureen Johnson. And tons others. I just love the woman he imagines. Super smart, strong, capable, fiercely independent and in control of their own sexuality. I love Heinlein novels for many reasons, but his woman are top of the list.

2. Anya. Ohhh, you adorably literal Demon woman you. (Careful o' the spoilers, I have yet to see season 6 or 7)

3. Michelle Dressler from 24. Hot and smart always makes me very happy. She can help save the world from a nuclear explosion and still look good in the miniskirt. (Again, careful o the spoilers. I have not seen season 3 as I only watch 24 on DVD)

4. Jet Girl from Tank Girl. This one popped into my head after quite a long time of not thinking about it. It is probably the only time I watched a horrible movie over and over again just because of my fascination with one supporting character. But, man, she was super cute. And, INDB tells me she is Naomi Watts, 8 years younger than now. Super cute. There was this one picture of Jet Girl pointing a gun at someone with a sly smile on her face that I loved.

5. Starletts. I love starletts, I love them all. But they are about as fictional as I could imagine. While, yes. Uma Thurman, Rose McGowan, Salma Hayek, Framke Janssen, Kristen Dunst, Nicole Kidman, Anjelina Jolie, and the many others whose scantly clad pictures grace my screensaver are real people, the starlett pictures are just characters invented for the public's comsumption and very unlike the real people. Probably, I would dislike many of these people in real life. But all of them have photo sessions that I love.

The other Friday Fivers are: Melissa, Adam, Merideth, Will, Gina, Gord, Adrienne, Marvin, Rob, Laura, Jon, Ritu, Julie, Morgaine, Rik, Fionna and Ray, Roganda.
